5 Tips to Boost Recovery After Illness

Getting sick may be out of our control but how we recover is something we can control.

Here are some key strategies to bouncing back faster:

  1. Boost: There is a well-known susceptibility to bacterial infections following viral infections. There is also a period of decreased immune function following severe infection before the immune system returns to baseline.  Supporting your immune system with the immune-boosting foods and targeted supplements with key ingredients can be highly beneficial. VMune offers total body immune support daily.
  1. Detoxify: The body does have detoxification organs (liver, lungs, skin, kidneys & colon) but after being sick it can be helpful to enhance these normal detoxification processes with ingredients such as fulvic acid, mullein, liposomal milk thistle to get rid of toxins from your body. Our bodies are continually exposed to harmful toxins. From the pollutants in our environment and the artificial chemicals in the foods we eat to our personal beauty and grooming products — all contribute to a gradual, unhealthy buildup of toxins within the body. V-Tox helps optimize your body’s total cleansing power.
  1. Hydrate: It’s not always easy to hydrate when you aren’t feeling well — nausea and fatigue can prevent you from wanting to take much in. Getting adequate hydration is not only important to flush out toxins but also to help improve energy and provide the body with the essential fluid and electrolytes it needs to function. V3 contains proven ingredients that provide natural, sustained energy and hydration support.
  1. Nourish: Giving your body the needed building blocks for recovery is crucial.  You may not have the appetite to focus on lean proteins and eating the rainbow, so supplements can be a convenient way to improve nutrition and fill in the gaps for those deficiencies in your daily diet. Smoothies that have a balance of clean protein, healthy fat, and complex carbs (and not overly sweetened) are also helpful. Core Complete is my daily tool for digestive care and multivitamin-mineral support.
  1. Conserve: It’s common to experience persistent, post-viral fatigue that can last several weeks.  Rather than resuming all your usual activities, you may need to ease back in slowly and avoid over-scheduling to make up for lost time.  Listen to your body and get plenty of rest so that you don’t suffer setbacks from taking on more than your body can tolerate.

Many of my customers have benefitted from my recovery pack containing key products that target each of these strategies to enhance recovery so you can get back to being healthier than ever.
